Precious cargo should stay on board

Among the ebbs and flows of life, storms will come. When the tempests toss and the gales blow us about, regardless of your station on board, be it Captain or First Mate, remember to be wise.

If your vessel rises to the heavens on the crest of a dangerous wave, and descends into the valley between, only to see another massive tower of water coming behind it; when you’re bobbing like a cork and your ship is taking on more water than it should, remember that a wise Captain only throws overboard what is necessary and what can be replaced when reaching shore. The lives of his people and his crew are the most important things in his charge - and he ensures they never are cast away into the sea, regardless of the danger.

Consider then, what is precious to you? May the life of your spouse, and the family under your care, be the most important assets you have. May they never be tossed aside in the pursuit of other interests or other things, especially items that will not last beyond this existance. May you hold on to them, as precious cargo, so that your family isn’t lost in the storms of life.
